Among the actions included in the Internet in the classroom project, red.es, together with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce (hereinafter "MITYC"), and the CCAAs (the autonomous communities and the autonomous cities, hereinafter "CC.AA.") are undertaking actions with the objective of supporting integration of technologies in education, destined to learning centres financed with public funds under the general non-university regimen and special regimes like teacher training centres and professor training university programmes.
Agrega’s objective is to facilitate for the educational community a useful tool to integrate information and communication technology in the classroom. You could access any content, from any place, using a variety of search criteria.
The characteristics of the Project are as follows:
Advanced plan 2006-2010
The Avanza Plan 2006-2010 for the development of Information Society and convergence with Europe and between the Autonomous Communities and Regions (hereinafter "Plan Avanza"), approved by the Council of Ministers of 4 November 2005, is included in the strategic framework of the National Reform Programme designed by the government to comply with the Lisbon strategy. Concretely, the Plan Avanza is part of the strategic fomenting programme for R&D&I (Research, Development, and Innovation) undertaken by the government in its Programa Igenio 2010.
The Plan Avanza is structured in five action areas.
The Plan Avanza (www.planavanza.es) is oriented toward achieving the correct use of TICs to contribute to the success of an economic growth model based on the increase of competitiveness and productivity, the promotion of social and regional equality and the improvement of the well-being and quality of life of citizens.
The programme Internet in the Classroom falls under the area 'Education in the Digital Age'
Red.es The public business entity red.es, part of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Commerce through the State Secretariate of Telecommunications has the remit of contributing to the development of telecommunications and the information society in our country.
The functions of red.es have been legally attributed to it by article 55 of Law 14/2000, of 29 December, which modified the Sixth Additional Measure of Law 11/1998, of 24 April on Telecommunications declared in Vigour by the Substitution Measure of the General Telecommunications Law 32/2003 of 3 November.
Licence
The Digital Educational Objects have been carried out within the framework of the Classroom Internet Programme. This programme has been developed and carried out by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, the public business entity Red.es, the Ministry of Education, Social Policy and the Departments of Education in the different Spanish Autonomous Communities. The digital educational materials developed within the framework of the Classroom Internet programme, can be used and adapted in the terms of the licence Reconocimiento-No comercial-Compartir Igual España of Creative Commons.
